About VGN
VGN is among the oldest developers still building in Chennai: the company traces its property business to 1947, and trades as VGN Projects Estates Pvt. Ltd. It works only in Chennai, which is unusual at its size.
The company states more than 250 buildings, over 20 million sq ft of developed space, 600 acres of plotted development, 20,000 residential plots and 10,500 homes. Its heartland is the north and west of the city — Anna Nagar, Mogappair, Nolambur, Ayapakkam, Ambattur, Avadi, Thiruverkadu — alongside Gerugambakkam, Tambaram, and central addresses at Nungambakkam, Kilpauk, Guindy, Adyar and Besant Nagar. It also builds offices, retail and industrial warehousing.
For buyers in north-west Chennai in particular, VGN is often the reference point: there will usually be a completed VGN building or layout within a few kilometres of whatever you are considering, and that is the most useful comparison you can make.
