About G Square Housing
G Square was founded in 2012 and has grown into the largest plotted-layout developer in Tamil Nadu by volume. It states more than 5,000 acres delivered, 125-plus projects and over 20,000 customers, operating from Chennai across more than twenty cities in Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Karnataka.
It sells almost exclusively approved plots — DTCP or CMDA sanctioned layouts with roads, drains, street lighting, parks and compound walls built before handover — rather than finished houses. Around Chennai its layouts are at Porur, Vandalur, Karanodai, Sriperumbudur, Singaperumal Koil, Neelankarai and Red Hills, with further projects in Coimbatore.
Scale is the reason to look at G Square and also the reason to look carefully. Approvals are usually in place and the infrastructure is generally built, which removes the commonest risk in plot buying. What scale does not settle is whether a particular layout is priced sensibly for its location, or how long the surrounding area will take to develop.
